Java Thread Example
Neuron membrane has resting potential about 90 MV. It is positive outside
and negative inside. When neuron potential decreases to certain level, neuron
membrane
permeability to Na+ ions is changing and Na+ is moving inside.
As a result neuron
potential is reversing and membrane is becoming positive inside and negative
outside
Neuron generates a series of spikes (action potentials) and sends it through
axon to the
next neuron. Next neuron potential is changing and the neuron
generates ceries of spikes.
In this model red color shows excitement, blue color represents resting.
When you click Start button, neurons get alive. They generate spikes
independently.
Click Connect button and the second neuron starts receiving signals from
the first.
