When you buy hosting plan, hosting company sends you welcome email with access to your hosting control panel. This email includes your login and password to your hosting control panel and FTP account. Also it provides name servers.
You cannot access your web site or your hosting root directory via your domain name before DNS propagates. What does it mean? It means that your domain that you registered somewhere else is not mapped to your hosting computer. First things you have to do is to change name servers for your domain in the company where you registered your domain.
For example, if you registered your domain with godaddy.com and bought your hosting space from hostgattor you have to copy name servers from hostgattor welcome letter and paste them to name servers fields in my domain tab on godaddy.com web site
To learn how to assign name servers to your domain read my tutorial Domain Name: http://www.configure-all.com/domain_name_registration.php
When you login to control panel, you will see screen with many icons like the one on my picture:
To manage your mail click Mail Icon. Mail Manager Menu is displayed To add mail account click Add/Remove/Manage Account option..
|Mail Manager Main Menu|
